Not Part Of Festival is coming

Ferrious proved to be a comfy refuge from a typically Mancunian downpour on Thursday 5th May , as it played host to a swish launch of the Not Part Of festival.

Revellers were treated to gourmet fish 'n' chips from Leo's Fish Bar and a glass of Barefoot wine amongst the nifty designer furniture of Ferrious. Directors Beth and Gareth McCann kept the evening running with slick fluidity, acting as charming hosts in between several acts, which included a bite-sized theatre performance, a poetry reading on the rainy terrace and summery acoustic music.

Such performances served as a tantalising teaser in advance of Not Part Of's duration, which is between June 30th – July 16th. We're especially looking forward to the likes of Beat the Frog at the comedy venue The Frog and Bucket, in which fresh hopefuls are given a chance to impress a stern audience, and the rambunctious Film Tube at Sand Bar. Save some other dates in your diary for art exhibitions, life drawing, embroidery, acting lessons, quizzes and much more to satisfy your artistic appetite. All of Manchester's archetypal venues and buildings are getting in on the act, from Pub of the Year 2010 Lass O' Gowrie to the recently-revamped Victoria Baths.

Not Part Of prides itself on ceasing to view artists with dollar signs flashing in their eyes, and thrive on giving them complete creative freedom. With over 800 artists being involved in 158 events across 48 venues, Not Part Of sure to make a huge mark on this year's festival season.
