Spa 303 at the Hilton is celebrating a UK debut of products, all designed around the ancient understanding of tea. At its core is a selection of new products by French company Thémaé, whose ethos is to help de-stress the client and develop beauty from the inside out.
The Thémaé spa experience uses the healing benefits of tea in both its products and massages, aiming to produce effective physical results as well as tranquil emotions. At first glance it can seem like a mere gimmick to open up a new fad to gain money, but scientific research has shown that there is truth in Thémaé’s claims; The tea plant has high levels of antioxidants, which help to slow the skin’s signs of aging by neutralising free radicals that damage cells. Thémaé have used these benefits in all its forms, using the four types of tea – green, white, black and red – to create their 4 Teas Elixir and really get the best out of nature.
Thémaé Treatments and Products
Thémaé have a variety of treatments using traditional techniques, which not only upholds professionalism but creates a genuinely calming experience. There are many to choose from including the relaxing Oriental massage, their invigorating Ayurvedic massage, and the Singapore massage. Alongside this, ‘mini treats’ such as the Instant Glow Green Tea Facial can be perfect for a half an hour indulgence, and perhaps a Rare Tea and Water Ritual will help to de-stress and help you feel youthful. All of the staff at Spa 303 were professional and pleasant - when trying out the products myself, my therapist Amy couldn't have been more talented or informative - and they will help you to decide what luxury treatment is best for you.

Bloom Tea
As health comes just as much from the inside, it’s not surprising that Thémaé recently partnered with Bloom, a tea company founded by Craig Coulton last year. His Treatment Plan has been developed into 5 different teas, each to be taken at different times of the day to support your body’s varying needs, over the course of a 10 day period.
Having won three Great Taste Awards 2011, those worries of forcing down bitter herbs for your health are obliterated. Tea is as hydrating as water, but with the added benefits of antioxidants which also help to boost your immune system. As a result, it’s easy to drink and feel the difference.
