'Making and Selling TV Comedy' Course
Brought to you by the makers of Cofilmic, the short comedy film festival, this practical 6 week course aims to help you as a writer make comedy gold.
Lead by comedy writer David Isaac, the course promises to cover all aspects of writing and pitching your TV comedy or comedy drama. It’s an intense, jam packed course which will put you through the paces - each week you can expect to develop your ideas from week 1, ending up with a 30 minute pilot episode by week 6.
This may sound daunting, but don’t worry! With a chance for one to one tuition and guest speakers each week from professionals in the industry, this is the perfect opportunity to hone your writing skills and pick up some expert tips.
On completion of the 6 week course, Cofilmic will be organising a special showcase event in Manchester where extracts from all of the completed scripts will be performed live, or shown as a short film with the help of local filmmakers. An exciting mixture of industry professionals, including directors and producers, and the general public will be invited.
The 6 week course itself will cost £195 and pre-booking is necessary. This payment does cover all the costs of tuition, materials and free entry to the end showcase event.
